With the addition of phosphorus to these other elements, it forms DNA and RNA, the chemical codes of life, and adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the most important energy-transfer molecules in all living cells. Other Benefits of Carbon and Carbon Dioxide.Carbon dioxide is generated as a byproduct of the combustion of fossil fuels or vegetable matter, among other chemical processes. When united with hydrogen, it forms various flammable compounds called hydrocarbons which are important to industry as chemical feedstock for the manufacture of plastics, petrochemicals and as fossil fuels. Inorganic carbon dioxide is output by volcanoes and other geothermal processes such as hot springs. Carbon is the basis for all plastic materials that are used in common household items as well as coal, gas and oil reserves in a form suitable fuel that drives our economy. Carbon filters are used in water systems to remove contaminates. Carbon is also found in diamonds, and graphite. Carbon dioxide is produced by all animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms during respiration and is used by plants during photosynthesis to make sugars which may either be consumed again in respiration or used as the raw material for plant growth. It is also found in dry ice and as carbonation in club soda and other soft drinks. Carbon dioxide is one major component of the carbon cycle. Mother Earths Carbon CycleWhen the Earth was created it contained a constant or fixed amount of compounds or elements like carbon and oxygen. This is the same today with the exception of those elements from meteorites that have hit the Earths surface. Therefore, the amount of carbon on Earth is effectively constant. Thus, processes that use carbon must obtain it somewhere and dispose of it somewhere else. The paths that carbon follows in the environment make up the carbon cycle. The Carbon Cycle is a complex series of processes through which all of the carbon atoms in existence move or rotate between the atmosphere, biosphere, and the geosphere. What is known is that the carbon cycle must be a closed system; in other words, there is a fixed amount of carbon in the world. In combination, carbon is found as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere of the earth and some is dissolved in fresh waters and the oceans. The same carbon atoms in your body today have been used in other compounds since the beginning of time. The wood burned just a few decades ago could have produced carbon dioxide which through photosynthesis became part of a plant. When you eat the plant, the same carbon from the wood which was burnt can become part of you. The carbon cycle is the great natural recycler of carbon atoms. Unfortunately, the extent of its importance is rarely stressed enough. Without the proper functioning of the carbon cycle, every aspect of life could be changed dramatically. Plants absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and use it in the carbon cycle, combined with water they get from the soil. The process of photosynthesis incorporates the carbon atoms from carbon dioxide into sugars and release oxygen as a waste product. The animals will eat the plants or smaller prey and then use the carbon to build their own tissues. These animals return carbon dioxide into the air when they breathe, and when they die, the carbon is returned to the soil during decomposition. The carbon atoms in soil may then be used in a new plant or small microorganisms. Ultimately, the same carbon atom can move through many organisms and even end in the same place where it began. In the release of carbon dioxide during fossil fuel burning, coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline it raises to the atmosphere where the UV-D rays from the sun split the carbon from the oxygen molecules and the carbon falls back down to the sea and land. Some of the oxygen changes to ozone (O3) through the same process called the Chapman Mechanism and then reverts back to oxygen. Climate Change Global Warming ScamThe Environmental Protection Agency on April 17, 2009 issued a proposed finding that contribute to climate change and may lead to higher concentrations of ground-level ozone and air pollution. The six gases; carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons and sulfur hexafluoride are greenhouse gases that contribute to air pollution that may endanger public health or welfare. All six gases are relatively non-toxic, but EPA states their science clearly shows that concentrations of these gases are at unprecedented levels as a result of human emissions, and these high levels are very likely the cause of the increase in average temperatures and other changes in our climate. What they mean is it may endanger public health and welfare if the additional impacts of climate change occur with increased drought, more heavy downpours and flooding, more frequent and intense heat waves and wildfires, greater sea level rise, more intense storms, and harm to water resources, agriculture, wildlife and ecosystems. One recent news article suggests that over 300 thousand die yearly because of this yet these same things have happened yearly through out history. It seems their scientists will say just about anything just to keep their grant money coming in to their coffers for future research. Allowable Carbon Dioxide Exposure Limits PEL and TLV set by OSHA and NIOSHCarbon dioxide is regulated for diverse purposes but not as a toxic substance. The U.S. EPA CO2 exposure limits: The U.S. EPA recommends a maximum concentration of Carbon dioxide CO2 of 1000 ppm (0.1%) for continuous exposure. ASHRAE standard 62-1989 recommends an indoor air ventilation standard of 20 cfm per person of outdoor air or a CO2 level which is below 1000ppm. NIOSH CO2 exposure limits: NIOSH recommends a maximum concentration of carbon dioxide of 10,000 ppm or 1% (for the workplace, for a 10-hr work shift with a ceiling of 3.0% or 30,000 ppm for any 10-minute period). These are the highest threshold limit value (TLV) and permissible exposure limit (PEL) assigned to any material. OSHA CO2 exposure limits: OSHA recommends a lowest oxygen concentration of 19.5% in the work place for a full work-shift exposure. As we calculated above, for the indoor workplace oxygen level to reach 19.5% (down from its normal 20.9% oxygen level in outdoor air) by displacement of oxygen by CO2, that is, to reduce the oxygen level by about 6%, the CO2 or carbon dioxide level would have to increase to about 1.4% 14,000 ppm. In summary, OSHA, NIOSH, and ACGIH occupational exposure standards are 0.5% CO2 (5,000 ppm) averaged over a 40 hour week, 3% (3,000 ppm) average for a short-term (15 minute) exposure we discuss and define short term exposure limits STEL below, and 4% (40,000 ppm) as the maximum instantaneous limit considered immediately dangerous to life and health. All three of these exposure limit conditions must be satisfied, always and together. What laws regulate carbon dioxide exposure levels?Of the several industrial hygiene standards-setting groups in this country, the most important and/or most quoted are the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) but these are recommended standards, not laws. Standards promulgated by OSHA (called Permissible Exposure Limits or PELs) have the force of law. The other standards are advisory. However OSHA claims the power to force compliance with NIOSH Recommended Standards if it chooses to do so. (The main advantage of ACGIH Threshold Limit Values (TLVs) is that they are reviewed and updated annually; neither NIOSH nor OSHA updates its standards with any regular frequency.) NIOSH limits on Carbon Dioxide Exposure: NIOSH's recommended CO2 exposure limit for 15 minutes is 3 percent. A CO2 level of 4 percent is designated by NIOSH as immediately dangerous to life or health. OSHA limits on Carbon Dioxide Exposure: The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, has set Permissible Exposure Limits for Carbon Dioxide in workplace atmospheres at 10,000 ppm of CO2 measured as a Time Weighted Average (TWA) level of exposure and OSHA has set 30,000 ppm of CO2 as a Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL). OSHA has also set a Transitional Limit of 5,000 ppm CO2 exposure TWA. OSHA's former limit for carbon dioxide was 5000 ppm as an 8-hour TWA. The exposure limits listed should raise questions in anyone's mind and that we have a long way to go before carbon dioxide is dangerous to public health and welfare. |

Nitrous oxide (N2O) is a colorless non-inflammable gas, with a pleasant, slightly-sweet odor and present in the upper atmosphere. The percentage of nitrous oxide in the air you breathe is about 0.00005. It is used in surgery and dentistry where it is commonly known as laughing gas due to the euphoric effects of inhaling it. Nitrous oxide is also used as an oxidizer in racing engines. It is also used in aerosol cans for whipped cream and used in potato chips. The far left extremists need more nitrous oxides in the air to breathe. It might make them laugh more with a better out look on life instead of crying and whining about their gloom and doom global warming nonsense. Maybe this explains why some are naturally happier than others because their body produces more nitrous oxides.
Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) contain no chlorine. They are composed entirely of carbon, hydrogen, and fluorine. They have no known effects at all on the ozone layer. Only compounds containing chlorine and bromine are thought to harm the ozone layer.
Perfluorocarbons (PFCs) are fluorocarbons, compounds derived from hydrocarbons by replacement of hydrogen atoms by fluorine atoms. PFCs are made up of carbon and fluorine atoms. Perfluorocarbons are chemically inert, thermally stable, non-toxic, and non-flammable. Used in cosmetics, electronics, and medical applications like eye surgery, Infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance and cell cultures.
Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) is an inorganic, colorless, odorless, non-toxic, non-flammable gas, and has a few applications in the electrical and medical field.
There is no doubt that our planet may go through some natural climate change now and then which the sun may be the main cause. I would like to ask EPA and those who are promoting this scam on the climate change and global warming insanity some questions.
1. How do you expect to lower carbon dioxide emissions by charging a cap and trade tax?
This carbon tax will only increase the price of our electric, food and all other necessities for life.
2. Are you aliens sent here for life for crimes committed on another planet and you are trying to change our breathing environment to better suite the environment on your home planet?
3. With the amount of carbon dioxide or carbon being in a fixed or constant amount on the planet, how do you plan on reducing it?
4. If past EPA unscientific claims stating that ground level ozone is formed during daylight or through the ultraviolet rays are true, then the carbon dioxide atoms (CO2) of Carbon and O2 would strip away or separate, would you still say it is the cause of global warming or climate change?
If this is true it would interfere with the proper functioning of the carbon cycle. The facts show that only the UV-D rays that create ozone only occur in the outer stratosphere and they do not reach the surface of Earth.
5. How will the electricity be produced when the wind is not blowing or the sun is not shining when going all green to generate the power needed?
It seems we would be better stewards of the planet if we built more dams and used hydroelectric power and then we would have more water in times of drought, more areas for family recreation, and the farmers could grow their crops. Hydroelectric power would not generate any carbon dioxide and the cement used to build the dams would store carbon for 100's of years. This should also include the building of more nuclear power plants. But then those politicians that have their hands out would have to tell those socialists commie environmentalists to take a hike.
Here is another idea for reducing the carbon dioxide levels, extend long tubes from the Earths surface hung by sky hooks into outer space and use it like a giant vacuum cleaner. We can have some in every country sucking up the smog, rocks, dirt and even humans when they get out of line. No big surprise if some of our politicians come up with this idea. Those responsible for all these insane climate change and global warming fears need to have their hallucinogenic drugs taken away because the world cannot afford the high cost of reducing carbon levels based on bad science.
The largest source of contamination in the air that no one seems to mention is chlorine but the public is never informed about this. Chlorinated compounds are among the largest of polluters in the air we breathe. Whatever chlorinated compounds are used in they will evaporate into the atmosphere. But I guess all their scientific evidence is only meant to mislead.
As of March 2009, carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere is reported at concentrations around 380 parts per million by volume which seems high. This equates to about 380,000 (1ppm=1000ppb) parts per billion. One part per billion is the equivalent of one drop in 12,000 gallons or one pound per 120,000 gallons of water. To come up with a more realistic figure on the carbon levels and taking into account their carbon dioxide monitors are reading all three atoms, one carbon and two oxygen atoms in carbon dioxide, then one should divide the 380,000 by three you would have 126,000ppb of carbon. The above 380ppm would then be 126.6ppm by volume. The carbon is always in transition in the outer atmosphere coming from somewhere and going somewhere else through the carbon cycle.
Report from one Washington think tank shows that levels of numerous gases linked with air pollution, like carbon monoxide, have fallen off since 2001 and air quality in the U.S. has improved significantly over the last decade. There are over 31,000 dissenting scientists from the US who reject the idea that carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gases are causing climate change or global warming. In their petition they also stated, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.
The climate change and global warming fear mongers say flooding will occur when the polar ice melts. Try this experiment at home, fill an empty glass with ice and then fill it to the top with water and check the level after the ice melts. The level will stay the same. So if all the ice melted that was floating in the sea it would not raise the sea levels.
How can we trust our politicians to do their homework on new laws if they do not read the bills their voting on? Our creator gave us many resources with this planet; why not make use of each one. Why anyone would just let our coal and oil supplies just sit there is beyond logic and without any common sense. By not taking advantage and using all of our natural resources is pure stupidity.
There is nothing wrong in keeping our environment clean and no matter what we do as humans can ruin it more than what nature does naturally. Some minor symptoms include; belief in Socialism, Marxism, or global warming, against big cars and SUVs, building dams, business, capitalism and free markets, fishing, hunting, hydroelectric and nuclear power, private ownership, and against using our natural resources like coal, natural gas, timber, and oil, dislike of cows, hateful towards God and Christianity, make people live in the city without access to rural and public lands, painting your roof white, putting animal life above human life, smoking your pot and then complain about the air you breathe, wasting tax payer dollars by suing government and business to get your way, and making others walk or ride their bicycle to work. If you have anymore than two of these symptoms the G1-O1-T1-Y2-A2 virus is out of control and taking over. There is no known cure and you are beyond hope according to the medical profession.
Your belief in the unscientific toxic misinformation concerning global warming and climate change may be causing extreme brainwashing and stress which can result in constipation.
